Background
Maverick was bred to race by Betty Abbey in Denton, Texas. He raced until 2000 and winning his last race. He was then passed on to Heather. Heather then trained him to be a hunter jumper. When she finished she decided she wanted to sell him. After putting him on the market for a while she decided to take him off and call him her own. He turned into a lovely hunter/jumper! Heather won a local show circuits Puissance at a stunning height of 4'7!
Maverick had an unfortunate kick to the hock. It was broken! So Maverick had to take a year off. During that year Maverick lost a lot of weight and muscle.
Maverick is now retired and lives in the pasture with his friends.
